Swearing-in of Judge Mahmoud Daifallah Hmoud, a new Member of the International Court of Justice (ICJ). The International Court of Justice (ICJ), the principal judicial organ of the UN, holds a public sitting for the swearing-in of Judge Mahmoud Daifallah Hmoud (Jordan), on Wednesday 23 July 2025, at the Peace Palace in The Hague, the seat of the Court. Session held under the presidency of Judge Iwasawa Yuji, President of the Court. Judge Hmoud was elected by the General Assembly and the Security Council of the United Nations on 27 May 2025.
